The idea
The AmChamps professional development program connects students with young managers in mentor–mentee pairs. Processing participant preferences and finding the strongest combinations across approximately 60 users created a complex and time-sensitive administrative task.
How it works
Program administrators manage participants and their submitted preferences through a dedicated web interface. The application processes the rankings using an optimization-based matching system and generates the strongest available mentor–mentee combinations while respecting the defined pairing rules.
The result
A previously demanding annual process became faster, more consistent, and easier to manage, with a centralized workflow and a clear, repeatable method for producing the final participant pairings.
